The Legislative Branch at the Municipal Level
Lecture at the inauguration of the Legislative School and the launch of the Youth Parliament 2026 in Santa Luzia (MG)
On March 27, 2026, I participated as a speaker at the inauguration of the Legislative School and the launch of the Youth Parliament 2026 at the Santa Luzia City Council (MG), representing Legislab-UFMG.
The lecture covered the legislative branch at the local level, presenting some constitutional guidelines on the role of the legislature at this level, empirical evidence on how it operates, and a discussion of how the legislative production methodology developed at Legislab can help build better laws.
